Raleigh "Joe" Pritchard
3/31/1935 - 2/2/2010





Lenoir, NC- Mr. Raleigh “Joe” Pritchard, age 74 of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2010 at his home.  Born March 31, 1935 in Caldwell County, Mr. Pritchard was a son of the late Charlie Edgar and Ollie Pritchard.


Mr. Pritchard was the owner and operator of the Pritchard Stick Company.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time outdoors.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Lee Pritchard and Herman Ray Pritchard.


Mr. Pritchard is survived by a sister-in-law, Nina Belle Pritchard of Lenoir; three nephews, Scott Daniel and wife, Deanna Pritchard of Lenoir, Gary Lee Pritchard of Lenoir, and Tony Andrew Pritchard of Statesboro, GA;  one niece, Karen Harrison of Lenoir; four great nephews, Charlie Harrison of Asheville, Travis Harrison of Lenoir, Seth Pritchard of Lenoir,  and Curtis Long, Jr. of New York; two great nieces, Hanna Long of Lenoir, and Kenzie Long of Lenoir; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.


A celebration of Joe’s life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Gene Clarke officiating.  Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.


The family respectfully requests memorials be made to: Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood St., Lenoir, NC  28645.
